An Art Project

To coincide with the relaunch of this site, I have designed a project which ties my art practice to blogging. The installation will consist of 3 elements. Beginning around mid March, a series of telegraph sounders will be installed in my studio. Each post that I write will be sent to the sounders in segments, and translated into Morse Code. A second element, a table with a perpetually moving piece of pencil lead, will give the appearance of attempting to transcribe the post. On occasion, I may be observed in the space translating the dispatch in person. The third element will consist of a second method of transcribing the messages based on an encouraged intersection between nature and culture, the degree of which will be revealed according to the amount of time spent in the installation.
