To Be Continued….

By Morse

Scott McClellan’s book seems to be generating an extreme reaction from the White House, which must mean that it’s mostly accurate. If it was just the musings of a disgruntled ex-employee, then why would they flood the media outlets with so many surrogates to try and discredit it? Instead they are spinning this thing to the point where it’s impossible for the MSM to finally not report that Bush couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a fucking boat.

In the meantime, we are all on the mend here. Thanks for the good wishes.

Glad to hear that you and Mrs. Morse are feeling better. As for McClellan…what a fucking coward. I might be impressed if he told the truth when it mattered. It’s not news. Never was. And the media won’t let the real meat come out because they just don’t look good. Congratulations, Scotty. Hope you got a good advance, because no one is going to buy your book.

PiNYC – On the contrary, Congressman Wexler is seeing McClellan’s book as “better last than never.” He wrote that McClellan “must be called in to testify under oath to the House Judiciary Committee.” I know this is about the media’s failure and McClellan’s apparent failure to act, but advance or no and his cowardice aside, he made some damning and material admissions about the Bush Administration that need to be addressed.

Hope you are right and he gets called to testify. He can’t exactly say he’s unavailable or can’t speak freely since he wrote his piece of shit mea culpa. The thing is, I understand that the media is treating the book as if it reveals something. What it really reveals is how the media actively ignored the truth to serve the white house, so the story will have to die soon or they may have to issue their own mea culpas. And that’s not going to happen. As for better last than never, I don’t think the families and friends of the 4,078+ and counting dead soldiers would agree. He’s a coward. No one stepped forward from within this administration to stop them. Scotty included.

Well, Spartacus, I’m surprised. Apparently a few tv journalist-esque people have spoken out and confirmed that they felt pressure to tell the “good stories” about the Iraq travesty. Katie Couric, for christ’s sakes, admitted as much. Go figure.
