That said, I did grow up in one of the few towns (ten in all, I believe) that had a slight majority of jewish residents. The rest of us were Italian, Greek, Filipino and some Irish (for color). I just can't make the jump the headline says that viewers "meets Palin's base" These folks (if real) are just a said part of society who are trying to come up with a "logical" excuse for not liking Obama. My boss's wife can say with a straight face that "I just can't vote for Obama. It's not that he's black because I'm not a racist. There is just something about the way he looks that I just don't trust him" I gently suggest that she might be having an internal conflict> She can then say with the same serious look, "I can't be racist; why I was just mentioning to my son that Usher is having a conceert and I'd like to go because he's such a good singer. You see, that proves I'm not racist." Ah, well. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink!
